The Edinburgh office of the Ethnic Minorities Law Centre is part funded by the European Social Fund (ESF), through the European Structural Funds Programme for Lowlands and Uplands Scotland 2014 – 2020.
Through this funding, we aim to assist the local BME community in accessing the labour market through the provision of legal advice and assistance. We assist clients in a number of different legal areas including immigration and asylum law, employment law and discrimination law. We provide legal advice and representation through the provision of direct advice to clients, as well Tribunal and court representation.
Through our legal advice and assistance, we aim to reduce inequality and unfairness by removing barriers which ethnic minorities face within the community. By accessing our services our clients can lead independent and responsible lives and become part of stronger and more confident communities.
